Every Drop Counts
A group of F.4 Biology students attended a program organised by the Ocean Park Academy Hong Kong to know more about Ocean Park's public water usage systems, chilling systems and animal husbandry facilities. Students also got an in-depth understanding of water usage and sustainable ways of managing water resources in their daily lives.

Twenty-three classes from F.1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 competed in the junior, intermediate and senior sections in the Annual Interclass Competition on 6th July 2010. Participants performed numerous kinds of dances originated from different countries of various times bringing fascination and wonderful memories to all Paulinians.

Two years after the Sichuan Earthquake, China experienced a similar disaster in Yushu County, Qinghai Province this year. Dr. Rebecca Lee (李樂詩博士), who is well acclaimed as the first woman explorer to reach the Arctic, Antarctic and Mount Everest, shared with us her invaluable experience and reflections in some of her expeditions. The Creative Arts Workshop (Primary Schools), which is part of the Arts Ambassadors-in-School Scheme organised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Hong Kong Institute of Aesthetic Education, was held in SPSS on 10 April 2010. A total of 28 Paulinians who are interested in art were also recruited as helpers to provide assistance to the tutors.

Famine Lunch
The annual Famine Lunch was held on 24 February 2010 with more than 500 Paulinians participating. 33 parents volunteered to help in the distribution of bread and the enumeration. A total of $12,000 was collected and will be donated to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake through Caritas Hong Kong.

Painting on Fabric 2009
The Painting on Fabric 2009: Mixed Media Painting Competition was held on 18th December, 2009. This year, participants had to demonstrate their sewing power as well as their painting skills! Materials varying from chicken wire to CDR were applied onto the fabric. The Visual Arts students from CCC Ming Kei College also came and participated in this exciting event.

Food Bank Project
Students from 4D and 4E organized a service project to ask for donation of food for the Food Bank of the Hong Kong New Immigrants Association. The whole school participated actively and more than 25 cartons of food were collected and would be delivered to the Food Bank to help the needy. Paulinians, well done!

比賽於二零零九年十二月十五日假座學校禮堂舉行，為是次比賽擔任評判的是前教育局高級學校中文發展主任葉寶瑩女士。十五個參賽同學以話劇、對話等形式演繹讀書心得。比賽最後由中一乙班的鍾嘉穎同學勇奪冠軍，而中一丙班的鍾子霖同學及中一甲班的陳卓樂同學則分別奪得亞軍及季軍。

Inter-school Badminton Competition 2009-2010
Our School Badminton Team was the 2nd runner-up in Girl A grade event in the Inter-school Badminton Competition 2009-2010 (Hong Kong Island, Division One).
The team members are Janet Lam (5S1), Angela Tsui (5S2), Vanessa Ma (3D), Eve Ho (2A) and Doris Wu (2C).

On 25 November, 2009, all the teaching staff went on a guided educational tour to Tai O, which is touted as 'Hong Kong's Venice'. Highlights of the day included visits to historical sites and stilted houses, which are typical of the area.

中二級「中文好書分享」比賽
比賽在二零零九年十一月廿三日在學校禮堂進行，十位參賽同學在台上以話劇、對話等形式向台下觀眾推介好書。為是次比賽擔任評判的是前教育局高級學校中文發展主任，周葉寶瑩女士。繼去年兩次同類比賽，周太讚揚同學的表現比去年進步，不但反省具深度，而且演說技巧亦見熟練不少。比賽最後由中二丙班的李嘉恩同學及林穎彤同學勇奪冠軍，而中二丁班的廖沛琛同學則奪得季軍。

Our School Fencing Team participated in the Inter-school Fencing Competition 2009-2010 (Kowloon and Hong Kong Island). The team members are Elsie Chang (5A1), Elka Luk (4E) and Kelly Chan (3C). In the individual event, Elka Luk was awarded the Championship in the Foil event.

文化新人類 — 青年領袖獎勵計劃
中三級麥芷瑩與中四級伍璟宜同學早前獲提名參與由香港文化博物館主辦第四屆「文化新人類 — 青年領袖獎勵計劃」。她們自2009年7月起接受一連串的培訓，當中包括展覽策劃的講座、參觀文物修復倉庫及藏品倉庫、實地考察、工作坊及導賞員實習等等，大大加深了對本地文化及博物館的認識。

中六甲理班學生李卓思，中三甲班學生方惠琳、林子穎、司徒菀喬，參加了由香港心理衛生會主辦，勞工及福利局贊助的「第一屆全港中學生心理健康常識問答比賽」。四位學生出席了10月10日舉行的簡介會，並參觀了康復服務單位。最後更晉身10月31日舉行的總決賽，並獲得優異獎。

10 F.3 and F.4 students were invited to join an interpretative tour of the Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail which is a 5 km trail covering 21 declared historic waterworks monumental structures, organized by the Hong Kong Architecture Centre.

The annual general meeting of the SPSS Parent-Teacher Association was held on 31st October 2009. Over 300 parents attended the function.
